With six locations consisting of stand alone locations and building cafeteria Metro was looking to create directional signage as well as promotional signage for various services. They already had a logo wanted to create a cohesive brand the previous designer was not capable of doing.
Each location had it’s own unique culture based on the businesses in the building, their employees as well as the geographic location. Collateral previously created was varied and disunited due to each designers personal interpretation of the brand rather than how the brand needed to be projected in the eyes of the clients. Therefore, we proposed creating signage based on the culture of the area. To create a cohesive brand we created various branding elements that could be used in collateral design. We branded each shop differently based on the color palette and branding elements of the business. To create a salivating desire for Metro’s foods and services signage featured appetizing food imagery coupled with witty copy. In order to promote other services and goals such as catering and afternoon snacks additional signage was created and placed in strategic locations throughout the buildings. To help further unify the brand we designed bags and to-go trays utilizing Metro’s branding elements and witty copy.
